𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐡𝐃 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐬 @ 𝐇𝐊𝐔 (𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐨𝐂 𝐋𝐚𝐛)

Prof. Zhongliang Jiang is looking for one strong student to join them in exploring foundation models for medical imaging, with a strong focus on real-world clinical impact through advanced AI.

𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬: Generative models & Vision–Language Models (VLMs) for medical imaging, targeting but not limited to ultrasound modality.

O𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫:
– 4-year fully funded PhD (PGS)
– Monthly stipend ~HKD 19,500
– Work on real clinical problems in a highly interdisciplinary environment
– Close collaboration with leading researchers at TUM, IC, UCL, JHU, CUHK, etc. 
– The University of Hong Kong (QS #11 globally, QS2026)

𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞:
– Strong ML/CV background; 
– Strong passion for innovation, technology; 
– Highly motivated to improve human well-being; 
– Experience with generative models or VLMs; 
– Top-tier publications (ICLR, NeurIPS, CVPR, TMI, etc.) are a plus.
